Don’t miss the biggest party of the summer…Downtown Alive 2008 has more! The eighth season kicks off with the Blues on the Fox, June 13th and 14th. Downtown Alive takes place from 6:00-10:00 p.m. most Fridays from June 13th through August 2nd on Downer Place between River Street and Broadway in downtown Aurora. The line up includes many popular Chicago area bands as well as some national acts. Admission is free and parking is free at all municipal lots and curbside meters. Expected attendance is 5,000 plus people nightly, including a combination of families from the Aurora area, western suburbs, young adults and empty nesters.

The main attractions include a live music stage, food vendors featuring a variety of festival food favorites, children’s area with entertainment, games and art village, and Car Show. The downtown Museums: The Aurora Historical Society, Aurora Public Art Commission and Sci-Tech are open (hours and admission may vary).

Downtown Alive! and Blues on the Fox are produced by the City of Aurora, Mayor's Office of Special Events with the assistance of many City departments, community volunteers, and the support of the Mayor and City Council.

Downtown Alive! and Blues on the Fox are funded by tax dollars as reviewed and approved by the Aurora City Council and our many generous donors.
